RIDE UNITED LAST MILE DELIVERY
Overcoming Transportation Barriers to Health, Financial Stability, and Food Security.
In April of 2020, when COVID-19 limited physical access to healthy food services, United Way and 211 partnered with DoorDash to launch Ride United Last Mile Delivery, which powers the delivery of charitable food and essential items. Although the pandemic catalyzed this program, it's an innovative approach to long-standing food access issues in the United States. In January 2022, the United Way of Greater McHenry County launched Ride United Last Mile Delivery. So far, it has provided more than 30,000 deliveries to homes in need throughout our county.
To sign up for free deliveries, you must live within the delivery area of one of our food pantry partners and work with them directly to set up your free delivery. Our current pantry partners are:
