United We Dine

United Way of McHenry County’s United We Dine promotion

and contributed $500 to the 2007-08 local United Way

Pamela Althoff. Althoff is United Way of McHenry County’s

general campaign chairperson for the second year in a row.

                                          To date, over $2,000 has been raised through United We Dine.

The Illinois Restaurant Association and Senator Pamela Althoff teamed up with United Way of McHenry County for the second annual "United We Dine." This year we ran a more successful program to raise money for local human service agencies. Results are beginning to come in.

United Way’s 23 agency partners served more than 67,000 McHenry County residents last year. That’s one out of every five people. Chances are, someone you know – an employee, neighbor, or family member – has benefited from services through one of these agencies.

As our county continues to grow, so does the demand for services. You helped people in need right here in our community. Your gift to United Way provided emergency food and shelter, senior day care and nutrition, scouting, counseling, support for the mentally and physically disabled, and much more.

"United We Dine" took place on September 17, 18, 19 and 20, 2007. Local restaurants donated 10% of their sales to United Way during their assigned date. Each day featured participating restaurants gaining success for their business as well as their community.
