How to Contribute

Whether you participate through an employee campaign at work or make a direct pledge, your contribution makes a difference right here in McHenry County. A single gift to the United Way of McHenry County provides shelter for the homeless, day care for the children of working parents, assistance in solving substance abuse problems, respite for the caregiver of someone with Alzheimer’s disease, day care for the frail elderly, and more.

Payroll Deduction

Thousands of employees give to United Way of McHenry County each year through automatic payroll deduction. If your employer does not off you this opportunity during our annual campaign, click here.

Stock and Other Gifts

End-of-year contributions are a popular method of support from financial professionals, for good reason. You can donate stock and claim the full value of the appreciated stock without paying capital gains taxes.

Pillars Club

Members of our Pillars Club are individuals who have made extraordinary contributions to people in need in McHenry County through our local United Way. They are people like you – people who care about others in such a way that it compels them to go beyond what is expected. The United Way staff and volunteers would like to express their deepest appreciation to each of our Pillars Club members for their determination to create a better future for local people in need.
